More than sixteen years of racing.
It all started with a boy and a go-kart. We could never have imagined what would grow out of it. A team, a family, a group of people united behind a single dream. Here’s how it all happened.
Career Timeline
- 2008
Where It All Began
My father turns on the TV. The 24 Hours of Le Mans. I’m eight. I don’t remember exactly what I saw. But I’ll never forget how I felt. That’s the moment.
We grow up surrounded by cars. My father runs a business dealing in exclusive Porsches in Heteren. Cars aren’t just a hobby for us—they’re the language we speak. When I stepped onto a go-kart track for the first time at age five, it felt like coming home.
- 2012–2018
Years of Karting
Years on the kart track. Races in the Netherlands, and later abroad as well. In 2016, we qualified for the RMC Grand Finals in Sarno, Italy: the world championship for the Mini Max class. We all traveled together to southern Italy—800 kilometers from Heteren.
My father is standing on the sidelines, as always. The group around us is still small. But the people who are there are truly there.
- 2019–2021
From Kart to Car
The transition from karting to cars is bigger than you might think. Everything feels different: more weight, more grip, a different way of driving. We’re learning it step by step. Touring cars, then Formula 4.
Not every year goes the way you want it to. There are tough seasons, difficult choices, and moments when the path ahead isn’t so clear. But every time a door closed, another one opened somewhere else.
That's the common thread.
- 2022–2023
The Transition to Endurance Racing
After a few years in the GT world with the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, we ask the question that changes everything: What’s the fastest route to Le Mans? The answer is endurance racing. LMP3.
We’ll set up a test. Then a debut race in Barcelona. Race 1 is canceled due to rain. In Race 2, we finish third. That’s what it feels like when we’re finally on the right track.
- 2026
The family is growing
Something we hadn’t planned but that just happened naturally: the circle around us keeps growing. More sponsors are coming on board. Friends are joining us on trips to the racetracks. A big sponsor gala. And a WhatsApp group where more and more people are cheering us on during a race weekend.
What stands out: people are drawn in by the story, not just the logo. They want to be part of it. They want to share in the experience. And they want to be part of a unique network of like-minded entrepreneurs.
- 2025
Spa. Ninety people. All of us.
We’re racing the entire ELMS LMP3 season. We win at Spa-Francorchamps, finishing one second ahead of the runner-up. Ninety members of Team Rik are in the pit lane: friends, sponsors, family, and people experiencing a race for the first time.
There are tears. There are cheers. Everyone is hugging each other. The feeling is indescribable. These are the moments we all do it for. And the moments when it really becomes clear what we’re all building together. In the end, we finish the season in second place in the league.
- 2026
We're not there yet
The move to LMP2, with Rossa Racing by Virage. The Oreca 07, powered by a Gibson V8. Bigger, faster, more demanding. But also: a team that has grown, a family that’s bigger than ever—
—and a goal that’s getting closer.
We now have about 35 partners and sponsors. Some came on board through word of mouth; others have been with us for years. Almost everyone says the same thing: they just want to be a part of it. Le Mans is the goal. And we’re going to be there together.

Victories
- 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps
August 2025 Spa, Belgium WINNER
One second. That was the margin at the finish line. After four hours of racing, two pit stops, and a thrilling final stretch, we finished ahead of the runner-up. The grandstands, the pit box, and the people watching at home: that first ELMS victory belongs to all of us.
- ELMS LMP3 Championship
2025 Championship 2nd place
Six races across Europe. Five countries. One season that proved what we were capable of. We finished second in the LMP3 class of the European Le Mans Series. That was enough to know that the next step was the only way forward.
- LMP3 Debut Podium in Barcelona
November 2023 Barcelona, Spain LMP3 debut
Race 1 was canceled because of the rain. I had been working toward it for months, together with everyone around me. In Race 2, we finished in third place. That’s how the endurance race began.
